Your chart is total losses ever. The one I describe is losses since 2000.



How can the Packers have more regular season losses than the Vikings despite placing above them almost every season?

The Packers were founded in the 1920s, decades before the Vikings, hence more total losses.



Edit: GB also tend to go defensive on their first round pick, not going for "skill" players until the second, and I'd say it mostly works for them. Don't reach the highs of Philly but generally always a playoff team.

Yes, Green Bay also drafts well and has since Ron Wolfe was their GM. Their current GM still uses a lot of his philosophy.
