I said I don't know if we have any vanillas in this game. If I'd said that you can't be vanilla, then I would already know that. The only was to know if there are vanillas is to see a vanilla role message. And the only empirical way to get that is either:

1- Be a vanilla.
2- Get a vanilla death message.
3- Read Isaac's list of the roles in the post-game analysis.

1 and 3 are either not possible or not viable. That leaves 2. Which is why I believe there is value in killing you. For Science.

Besides, a vanilla is less of a loss than most roles anyway, so even if I'm wrong, it's among the least harmful mislynches. And lynching a vanilla is less harmful to the town then revealing every roled player through mass roleclaim.



I fail to see how that is in any way relevant. Has the previous game not shown that assuming something to be true based on metagame assumptions is folly? Has Isaac not demonstrated the ability and the will to attempt novel approaches?

I already know as fact that 4 players - that's not including Talic, who is most probably one as well - have role abilities. If you subtract the number of Darkfriends we have in this game, that leaves us with either an unfortunately improbable list of victims, or a game which has either few, or no vanillas.

Quite frankly, in a game with eighteen players, it does seem difficult to think that Isaac would have given an ability to every one of us, but I know of only one way to find out, and that is examining the corpse of a vanilla.
