The glowing figure stares at Souvra emotionlessly as she sobs. It raises an arm and points at her. "Die then, Aes Sedai! May the Master devour your soul."

A fireball shoots out from the figure's hand and engulfs Souvra's body. She screams a scream of pure despair as the fire disappears into her and she seems to burn from the inside out. The guests watch in horror as the eyeballs burst and blood drips from the sockets, as he skin crackles, as she falls, dead.

Near her, Bekkar doubles up in pain, his cries of anguish loud in the silence that follows. He suddenly convulses and his body seizes up before collapsing.

The figure disappears into the ether after one last burning look at the guests. "Find me the traitors!" it thunders.

The guests are left with the two dead bodies. The rod which Souvra had held is blackened and burnt, obviously broken. Somehow none of her clothes are fire-touched, though her body is a blackened husk.
