Town is mentioned in mine too, twice, explicitly as the place in which I live and work, neither usage is associated to alignment, just "As the town's carpenter" or "As the Town Blacksmith..." or "As a farmer of the town" types. I don't want to imply there's necessarily a mystery to mine, the most obvious interpretation of my VC is win with town, but the wording is such that "You win when peace is restored to the Town" with the late game twist of maniacal laughter "That's right... the Peace of the Grave! Go Team Evil!" or "You win when the threat to your family is gone... MWHAHAHA... your family are evil cultists, kill townies to protect them!" I didn't really get that feeling from the RM but Katie couldn't exactly include an ominous soundtrack to play in the background



I don't think we have a third party, we might have neutrals or converts but I don't view those as third party. I don't want to read too much into 'old school' or 'back to basics' but I do consider the primary interpretation to be town vs scum, all townie or scum, not too many roles and non-exotic role choices, and my own role is either vanilla or non-exotic, what qualifies as exotic is hard to gauge but probably any role that appeared in WoTmania games, which should be cops, docs, double voter, trackers, masons, vig, BP, bodyguard, RBer, super-killer, vulnerable killer (blademaster meets quarterstaff), SK, role detector... some others too, probably not Shaido half-doc Even assuming Katie meant it the way we're interpreting it I'd doubt she has the same view as I do of 'basic', which for me in a twelve person game is 3 scum, a cop, a doc, and either a mason pairing or one relatively common role, rest vanilla, scum to have RBer if the uncommon role is a decent town power-up like tracker as opposed to a wild card like vigilante.
