Following your orders, men start setting up a work area, and also a camp area where all of you will be residing for the duration of the construction. Since the valleys and lowlands are currently unsuitable, this makes for two long stretches of activity on either side of the road. Your more experienced core are already planning the construction, assigning Servicemen to varying tasks and getting work started with what supplies you have carried with you.

Fortunately, the Administrator's promised supplies arrive slightly past midday, escorted by a small company of Imperial legionaries, by your reckoning mostly Servicemen as well. A few of them seem quite intrigued by your progress, and one gets caught hovering around the rising onager before getting caught by their officer and sent back to work. With the freshly arrived supplies, a tolerable onager is functional with several hours remaining before sunset.

(This didn't take nearly as long to write as I'd expected, I really should've posted this sometime in the last week. Sorry about that.)
