Re: So, the way I see it, we have two (well, three) options for our lynch
Isaac Send a noteboard - 31/05/2011 08:13:17 PM
The first two are our other two philosophers, Stephen (Socrates) and ranagrande (Zeno)
Frankly, if you're still on the philosopher = evil line of reasoning it makes more sense to see if Scott was Scum or town first before we kill another of them.
The third is Isaac (Agamemnon)
Stephen- hard to pin down, since he's been a bit RBIRL this game. He's definitely contributed, and I don't see any scummy activity, but that could just be because he hasn't posted a ton.
Character- a bit suspicious
I posted up that trial excerpt so everyone could read it and give a less biased opinion then mine, assuming mine is biased, Socrates as a rebel against the gods seems exactly backwards of the conclusion I draw form that piece but I claim no expertise on it.
Player- not too suspicious
ranagrande- is historically an extremely difficult player to read. He's also another philosopher.
Isaac- The only real red flag was his reaction to Katie in this post where it's possible he was trying to subtly influence the conversation to lynching Katie. He got off that line of thought pretty quickly when he saw we were unlikely to lynch her, but it's still a possible slip.
That's not a red flag, I voted for her because she claimed cop, then demanded an explanation before unvoting, that's exactly as a player should have acted, I grill everyone unless I've decided to play Defense instead, I had every reason to suspect her, whereas both you and FT had accused her on far less and he is almost definitely not scum. Her role as townie seems so obvious now, but almost everyone leaped on the cop claim, for clear reason, and all the explanations that make it 'so obvious' that gave came in response to my questioning, so you are accusing me on the grounds that I asked the questions that needed asking.
Other than that, Agamemnon is not an unreasonable choice for scum.
Not by general niceness or how they were viewed, no, but we already know that is a bad guideline, neither our cop or doc were nice people.
Scott's dead, and we'll discover his allegiance at dusk. So, I think we should either lynch another philosopher, or lynch Isaac.
It makes little sense to lynch a philosopher on the grounds that all philosophers might be scum until we see Scott's posthumous message, nor is Agamemnon a philosopher.
If we lynch another philosopher, I suggest ranagrande. Neither he nor Stephen seemed very scummy (Sidenote: neither of them voted for Bergioyn, which is either a coincidence or it shows that they didn't want innocent blood on their hands). ranagrande is a tricksy devil though, and I think history has shown that we, as a group, are basically incapable of knowing when he's scum. So... murder!
I'm not going to lynch a player on those grounds, it's tantamount to punishing someone for being a good player.
The other option is to wait and see if Scott was guilty, and lynch Isaac tonight. If Scott's guilty, we can take out the other philosophers tomorrow. If he was innocent, then we can reevaluate our options.
So, that's my suggestion. Scott or Isaac. Thoughts?
Scott's dead, and I'm very suspicious of you now, because you seem so sure of this philosopher option in which case it makes no sense to accuse me because I am the one who initiated movement on Scott, and I am not only not known for bussing but certainly not for initiating a lynch on someone from my team, besides the fact that if they are all scum then I can't be unless we have four scum, in which case I certainly wouldn't try to lynch Scott because if I got a townie toDay we'd be LyLo tomorrow.
Your argument don't hold much water, they are scattered bits of info that 'look bad on initial inspection' but have no relation to each other, you seem set on trying to curb inspection from anyone else, not even mentioning any of the other three players - Hobo, Gher, and ? who were part of the 7. I also have to say that your failure to present anything firm on this guard issue has eroded your own prob-town status. Surely Kronin would have told you by now if it were a player or a NPC, and that's information we must have to verify your claim at all. Otherwise "Beloved Princess" is just an unsupported claim that reeks of fake because it's logical and presents a reason not to lynch you.
