Agreed, I think the natural format for this game was probably an assumption that on Day 2 someone would claim cop, even if just to avoid lynch though more likely as I did, knowing HC would be impossible and odds of night 2 NK would be decent. Once one person claimed the exposure of the cop madness would be guaranteed since there's pretty much no plausible series of NKs/lynches that wouldn't have left multiple Daycop and normal cops around. Thus, the natural form I think would be an assumption the scum would be able to fake claim cop... our day 1 coded RC's beats that, and I note FT even posted in while we were doing those with what could be viewed as an attempt to discourage it, so I think ? and Hieshyn are our baddies, or maybe just one of them as we might have SK/cult only options.

I've kicked around options for how they might be scum faked cop claims and the only one that seems plausible is someone really ramped themselves up to crack at least to or three RC's before posting their own, I know you and I aren't the only ones with some background in this, but I'm not seeing it, I was second RC post less than an hour after the first one, Beet's coded Daycop claim, and most rolled in fairly quickly. I suppose it's possible as one of the late one's you might have cracked some, seen the pattern, and gone for it but I doubt that. And I can't think of anyone else with a known strong cipher background besides you and me, so they can always lynch you down the road if ? and Hiehsyn come up clean assuming someone doesn't NK you before then... and I'm only bringing up the option of possible cracking in case I get whacked tonight No, I think this one is clear cut now and if it isn't it's likely to be weird in a way we can't guess at yet anyway, maybe more poem stanzas will help if that's the case... and I think we should just get the lynch over with, if ? dies a scum, then we know what to do, if not we'll need to re-examine everything anyway. I don't think code-cracking was very likely, considering the small timeline to do it in, but I wouldn't rule it out... that's the only thing that makes me a touch nervous though, it was undeniably possible, at least for some of those codes, Vigenere's tough to crack with short ciphertext so I'm not seeing that, I already had a go at Kronin's to see if it matched ?'s, but no luck, I'd love to see that one cracked before offing ? but it's probably a vanilla claim with some padding and there's really no result of that being cracked that makes ? look better, only worse if it cracked as something non-vanilla, and we've got evidence enough to lynch anyway.
