In order to repay the favour the Aes Sedai had done him, each year that Aes Sedai returned to him, demanding something more, revealing the extent to which her words had deceived and entrapped the poor old fool, and as Sammil explained in a hushed voice how Old Wil was forced to leave his cozy old house and embark, at the age of eighty-two, on a journey to the Spine of the World to find the mythical Green Man in order to satisfy the damnable woman, Xanthe made her way to the kitchens.

The cook, a somewhat overweight woman of some years with a face that hid little of her emotions, was leaning against one of the doors, her duties forgotten as she listened to the gleeman with her helpers. The Illianer woman tried to simply walk into the kitchens as though she belongs there, but from the was the cook watches you approach, it is quite obvious that the knows you don't.

Xanthe has failed at a Stealth Skill Check (3+8=11).
