I guess you can afford it, what with the entire Francophone world loving just about everything that comes out of Québec... not without reason, to be sure. I've been listening a lot to Coeur de Pirate's latest album lately, she's awesome.

All the same, you know, us smaller Francophone countries (yes, I'm making myself Francophone for a moment for the sake of the argument, shush) should stick together against the imperialist tendencies of the big one.

"Before Goscinny passed away" being the keyword. The first few without him weren't that terrible, but the last three or four are absolutely cringeworthy, someone should have made Uderzo quit while he was ahead a good while ago. (Speaking of Goscinny passing away and Québec, did you ever read the relatively recent Lucky Luke where he goes to Québec? It's fairly amusing.)

Which reminds me, Alix is French as well, forgot about that one. Another case where some truly incredible tripe was published after the author's death, tainting the good albums by association (although Jacques Martin admittedly wasn't the most consistent in his quality anyhow).
