Maravin walks back down the steps to find the common room in near dead silence. Master Jaemin and a few of his staff are running between the motionless bodies of the inn's patrons, and you can hear quite clearly from their discussion that the Children of the Light have been called for.

One of the serving maids bursts in from the front door, hurriedly pulling an old man with her. The newcomer freezes at the door, shocked by what he sees, then carefully makes his way to one of the dying men and starts examining him.


He puts one hand on the large man's shoulder, and sharply whispers, "Now, we're just going to try and slip past these two, get out that door, and be on our way, okay? Now then, take your hand off of your axe, and GO."
At last, I have an apostrophe!
