This is really what was bugging me. Gher made a valid point down at the bottom that basically pointed out that something like "you joined the Whitecloaks to fight the Aiel invasion" could be misconstrued, especially if in a rush.
My point, which I think you'd agree with, is that we're NOT in a rush. Not really, not in the real life sense of the word. "Oh no, I only have a couple of days to paraphrase a flavor text paragraph!" is not something people say.
I mean, I don't think this is damning- hell, I've made mistakes- but I'm not prepared to automatically accept his excuses for face value.
And if it comes down to Blaine or Talic, I think Talic has the better excuse.
