Atlantis was another one that took a little more than one season to get going (because of the character relationships, like you said).


I disagree on there being any real change in character relationships in Atlantis from show one to the conclusion of the series. That's excluding the trading of Lt Aiden Ford (who was a genuinely likeable character that they completely fucked over) for Ronan (who I thought I should hate but really liked). [Edit: or Beckett for Kaylee // Weir for Carter for Woolsey.] The actors either really nailed their characters from the get-go or they simply didn't develop them at all. The one character who never grew on me at all and was a constant annoyance was Tayla. The best episodes were the ones where she was absent.

Universe, though, seems to be doing pretty good already.
