Apparently it was a move to boost their ratings. They figured the Lady Gaga episode would go over better if it coincided with the American Idol finale or something like that. Notice how Jesse wasn't in this episode? Did you wonder why Rachel was in such a rage at the start of the show when she came in annoucing how she had gone through the Vocal Adreneline trash? They tried to edit things so it wouldn't show so bad but it still did. That is the story.
