Del Toro departs Hobbit film Mark Send a noteboard - 31/05/2010 09:51:28 AM
Guillermo Del Toro has announced that he is no longer going to direct the Hobbit or indeed the second LOTR related film due to delays in it's production caused by the difficulties surround MGM. He shall continue to act as one of the screenwriters however. The announcement at theonering.net is below.

I think this is a rather sad development, as I felt Del Toro's style was ideally suited to the Hobbit movie. I now wonder who will take over and how long will it be until filming can actually begin

PoA was better than the movies after it, surely. - 02/06/2010 08:36:14 PM 1005 Views
Disagree. PoA was better than tCoS, but that's because Chamber was a travesty of a novel. - 03/06/2010 01:32:31 AM 918 Views
I don't get why people love the PoA movie so much. - 03/06/2010 01:59:50 AM 872 Views
