Strange... This is the first episode that disappointed me

Maybe it's because I've started rereading the series in preparation for the fifth book, and finally caught up and passed the show, so I had the book version of events fresh in my mind, but it seems to me that they deviated a lot more from the book here than in previous episodes.
Furthermore, there are the entirely unnecessary scenes that aren't in the book at all. Seeing Tywin was great, and I think the actor did an excellent portrayal of him, but why was that scene there, exactly? It isn't in the book, and it doesn't even make sense given the book's chronology of events. And Littlefinger's scene with the whores was little more than a waste of five minutes to include more boobs in the episode.
It was still fairly good overall, but I feel like they padded the episode with too much unnecessary junk, just to stretch it out and make it end on a climactic note, which is probably going to be a major problem with the pacing of the episodes. The chapters of the books do not have weekly interludes, they continuously hammer the reader, and then they hammer the reader even further, while the show does not seem willing to live up to that.

The problem I have with it is the heavy handedness of some scenes
