The season is almost over and as far as I can tell they could have left out the story about the blond girl and the Huns (sorry I don't remember what they are called) without changing the main story line at all. I like that story line but has not has not had enough impact on the main story line yet to warrant all the time spent on it. I guess that is one of the advantages of making it on HBO, you can have a story line that takes 3/4 of season to develop. It really is more a miniseries than a TV series.


I guess it's clear you haven't read the books, but the short answer is: Not yet!

Without giving away too much, Dany remains across the Narrow Sea at least through the first 4 books. And no, you can't really leave Dany's story out of the series at this point; her story progresses at the same time as what's going on in the Seven Kingdoms. On occasion there are overlaps and hints of the bigger picture as well. They will come together at some point, but that's a long ways away for the HBO series.
I would slave, to pave the way, to sink your ship of fools.
