Though in fairness, if you look at how sweet Myrcella and Tommen are, you can't really blame Cersei entirely for the monster Joffrey is.

There is probably some difference in a child groomed to run the kingdom and the others. However, the show already showed her basically telling him that he doesn't have to tell the truth because of who he is. I still find her detestable, even if I kinda see how she got that way.
