Well, she is playing a hooker.

That maybe she didn't want to remind people of that episode of her past by playing a hooker (no idea if she has to do any nude scenes, but one would expect so).

Of course, on the other hand she can't keep dwelling on that forever, and she is a big enough actress - in Europe, anyway - that her reputation can take it.
