Yes the first half of the movie is only silly stupid humor, but I liked this silly stupid humor (like I liked the silly stupid humor in the first movie but hated it in the second movie.) The female lead is also far more likable than Megan Fox.

The villains of the movie are also much more memorable than the Falleen who in the second movie. This villain has motives and seems human instead of just being evil incarnate.

And one of the two annoying little robots was also in the second movie, he was originally a decepticon who was trying to kill Sam, but he switched sides.

The movie isn't deep, it is just a mindless action movie, it just isn't a soul crushing mindless action movie like the second one was.

7 out of 10 robots.
