Are they actually going back 85 million years in Earth history? Does anyone know if they consider any time travel ramifications for that? For example, if you pump up some petroleum 85 million years ago, then that petroleum isn't available for your ancestors in the future. Deforesting areas, sowing grasses and crops that hadn't developed naturally yet, all that stuff would really mess up the future. Maybe they don't care about messing up the future, causing paradoxes, or creating splintered time streams. Their actions could feasibly prevent the formation of the human race altogether.
That was my first thought when I heard about the premise. I am wondering how they'll explain that, Butterfly effect and all...
I don't think they did explain much, but I was too excited for Castle to worry about it. I admit that I might have missed some things.
To be honest, I thought it was too busy going "Look, dinosaurs are awesome!!!" to be super interesting. And it had dumbass kids, so it is already on my bad side.

Of course the idea is silly, but I am a big fan of suspension of disbelief

Yeah, that's why I usually stay away from anything with time travel.
