I didn't find him as unlikable as the self-righteous asshole with the annoying voice who did those 90 minutes reviews of all prequel films. At least this one here tried to work with the general set-up we have, even if some of his ideas are worse.
I was sent on a link to that once, and what I found most obnoxious was his affectation of stupidity, which seemed to be a sort of shield against criticism, by claiming the long tedious thing was humorous. If you thought his points were stupid, well, he was affecting a stupid tone of voice, so he was just being in character.


Hehe so true. I "love" how the internet geeks always assume because they are the most vocal "critics" everyone else hated the film too and agrees with them. Makes you wonder who the people were who went to see two more of those. Or who bought the DVDs. And the BluRays.


And then they go and complain that Lucas is a sell-out, who does all the stupid stuff to put more butts in the seats. If he is a sell-out, and if the disgruntled fan-base is so widespread, Lucas could make a(nother) fortune with a special "Original Version" edition of the first trilogy. That he has not done so argues that either the disgruntled are a very small, if disproportionately vocal, minority or that Lucas is genuinely more interested in his artistic vision, however unpopular.
