And I still don't agree that Martian's writing is somehow not subtle...but I seem to like the books more than you do anyway.
I was being at least half faecetious. I prefer reading his words, as opposed to simply finding out what happens, as in the case of Brandon Sanderson, or lots of TV shows I follow. I am actually looking forward more to WoW than aMoL, despite my overall preference for WoT.

Ok onto Arya. In the books it was a little miffed about why Arya didn't ask to have Lord Father Lannister killed or some other figure of importance but it was somewhat understandable because of where she was, where they were, and such (I did get annoyed that she didn't have the leader of the castle killed but again that was somewhat understandable given age). Now that HE IS THE ONE SHE IS SERVING, it would make ZERO sense ZERO either in a character sense or a world sense for her not to ask for him to be killed. As well though we know the Lannisters and the Starks never liked each other all that much even before all this started I am going to find it REALLY hard to believe he would not recognize Arya for who she is. She doesn't look THAT different from how she did in the capitol and if anyone should be able to get a good explanation for how she looks it would be daddy Lannister.
Not to mention the question of what she is doing in the South, even if she is the common northern girl she pretend to be. As portrayed on the show, Tywin would be the sort to pick out numerous little clues that would betray her origin or social status.

So she should be captured and returned to the capitol.

Now in the last books where she was being trained and learning to become no one...I thought that was the isle of the faceless men. Was it not? It is getting her to this temple and across the sea that I am having a hard time understanding how they are going to get to.
It is not so much an isle, as a location in a city built on numerous isles (think Venice, on which Braavos is transparently modelled; canals, gondolas, etc), across the narrow sea on the large main continent on which Dany's entire story has been set.

The Isle of Faces is an isle on a lake known as the Gods' Eye, in Westeros. Harrenhal is built on the shore of that lake, and it is an historical site, with religious significance to those whose ways predate the Andals (probably why Harren, an ironborn king, decided to build his castle there, and the reason "the little crannogman" of Meera Reed's tale ended up attending the great tourney held there - he had been making a pilgrimmage to the island at the time). On that island, the First Men made a peace treaty with the Children of the Forest, and carved faces on all the trees on the isle. An order of hermits tends the trees there. You are confusing the references to the Faceless Men (with whom Arya is studying, though they have not referred to themselves as such) with the Isle of Faces.
