A bit too silly and special effects driven. TheCrownless Send a noteboard - 14/12/2012 11:10:48 PM
The giants fighting was silly, the Goblin king was too overblown, Azog wasn't scary in the slightest (Gothmog was so much better) and the chase scenes dragged on to the point of tedium.

And the bunny-rabbit sleigh? Give me a ****ing break...

Saying that, Riddles in the Dark is one of the great pieces of cinema and the film as a whole was great. More selective editing and allowing WETA to do their thing with prosthetics more often would have made it a 10/10 as I loved all the lore stuff (even if it was fiddled with) but as it is it's a 7.5/10.
Come to the dark side, We have candy!

I'm Israel, he's Palestine, its more fun when you pick sides.

I think two words have killed this movie for me: "orc nemesis" Tom - 15/12/2012 02:00:33 AM 1568 Views
To be fair, it's an orc nemesis from the books. Werthead - 15/12/2012 07:23:16 PM 1579 Views

There was not an orc nemesis in the books Roland00 - 16/12/2012 01:55:59 PM 1413 Views
There actually was in Tolkein's mind, it is just contained in a different book. *NM* HyogaRott - 28/12/2012 02:37:13 PM 722 Views

Radagast? Bunny Sledge? Archrival Azog? The whole goblin cavern scene? It's a massacre alright. *NM* Bergioyn - 11/01/2013 03:07:55 PM 840 Views
