I must admit I would have had less of an issue with Tara's death if it hadn't been done in such a ridiculously contrived manner as well, with that guy firing his gun at an angle that probably wouldn't have come anywhere near hitting her since she was out of sight, in a building on the first floor (second floor if you are American

Much like with Joyce's death the season before, her dying of "natural" (as opposed to supernatural) causes makes it more real and impossible to undo. But yeah, that does make it rather hard to swallow, and of course it does seem contrived that that bullet would hit someone on the first floor.
