Asmodean seemed genuinely surprised to see his killer - And his killer was someone he knew/recognized. So that makes it unlikely that it was Rand, since seeing Rand in the palace at Andor wouldn't have been a surprise. As I recall, Rand was also shown to be busy elsewhere at the time too. With Bashere I think, but it has been a while since I read that part of the series.
LTT could have been in TAR in the Flesh and like when he was fighting Rahvin actually changed his physical appearance to look like LTT.
