There is no way we could have come up with this at book 5 IMHO. I believe we have the correct theory out there already as to who killed Asmo. The only problem is the other incorrect theories cannot be disproven and so we dont have an answer as to who it really was. The only way we CAN know for sure is either for RJ to confirm it for us like he did that clever fan he met or have it spelled out in the series some time.

I think, no matter which theory ends up being correct, we'll have lots of "I told you so"s and "It would have been better if"s floating around.


A quick approach--going back in your mind to the time when you read the scene, who did you immediately think was the killer? without reasoning--what conclusion did you jump to?

i would think that this conclusion was the most pure "Intuitively Obvious" deduction.

now, who are the people that readers "felt" were the suspect?

Clearly, there are more popular and less popular candidates.

since RJ said that most people had it wrong, i would look at the least popular suspects closely.
