Why does she need to get put in her place? She's already in her place. You're acting like she's a bad person or something. She's not. She deserves to act as she does.
What a nonsense. She deserves nothing in my book. In my mind, Cadsuane is a quintessence of what is wrong with Aes Sedai.
In my mind, if Aes Sedai were more intelligent, like her, then things would be just peachy.
Name 3 "intelligent" things she has done. For that matter it would be a tough task for any of the major characters in this series as "the stupid things people do when they don't know all they think they do" is IMO one of the major themes of the series. That being said, Caddy has been one of the more foolish of the major characters. Strong & influential yes, but she has not behaved "inteligently", unless you consider "Hey lets make the incrediblly powerful insane guy who has asked for our help angry whenever we can and treat him like a mushroom/child giving him zero respect for anything" intellignet.
1. She did a pretty good job of managing the defenses at the Cleansing
2. She's the only AS we've seen that seems to ignore Strength when picking out her entourage (Daigian and Kumira were both very weak, but very capable).
3. Her plan to free Rand from Far Madding was pretty smart
4. Not writing off the Aiel WO as ignorant Wilders got her pretty far
5. She managed to handle the SF with no effort, something no other AS has really managed thus far
6. She actually did a pretty admirable job of keeping Rand's temper in check for a good amount of time too
Not to mention she's saved Rand's life (or her entourage has), how many times now?
And the thing with Tam DID work, if barely.
The meeting I want to see is Mo and Cadsuane. THAT will be good.
Will Cadsuane...

It seems very likely if she's still with Rand when he "knows the Amyrlin's anger." *NM*

I don't particularly like Cadsuane either ... but she's done quite a few smart things...

She's also actually accomplised things in her life as well, unlike most Aes Sedai.
