No they're not. They worried Egwene, they irritated Egwene, but only rarely did they make her afraid, and we're taking about a newcomer to all these things, here.

Cadsuane is alarmingly capable, and also stops at nothing to get what she wants. Romanda and Lelaine offer the security that they will abide by the rules and customs of the AS, at least in public.

Cadsune cares nothing for that. Egwene cannot even expect a veneer of deference from her if Cadsuane thinks she's being an idiot. She assaulted an Amyrlin once, after all!


This. Egwene isn't going to impress Cadsuane with much more than good manners, seriously. Being skilled and powerful in the OP doesn't impress Caddy. She's powerful herself, she's got her hair bling, but above all, she doesn't just use those as a crutch either, because she knows power isn't everything (does Egwene know this yet? Doubt it). The only other thing that might get Cadsuane's respect is showing her that Egwene isn't a slave to WT customs which we know mean nothing to Cadsuane. But Egwene will have to do something significant for that to happen.

Cadsuane is going to simply stay at Rand's side because the LB is coming, and she's a Green. There is no bigger priority for a Green than to assist the DR againt the DO, at least I believe that is how Cadsuane sees things. She's been preparing for this her whole life, especially the last 20 years, and she's not going to let anything stop her now.
