2) Ituralde cannot catch a break. Is he going to lead a major defense against the Trollocs? Or is Graendal going to put a wrench in his plans?
Hmm. This suggests that Ituralde will continue the struggle against the trollocs despite the fact that Rand betrayed his promise to him. Maybe Ituralde, having seen what is to come will realise that he needs to protect the borderlands anyway. Or maybe the sane Rand will return to fullfill his promise.
3) Olver does something heart wrenching which shows the price the characters have to pay for victory. No clues about this.
Let's hope Olver does not die.
5) A last throwaway line says that the story begins with Rand walking down the mountain to have a long overdue chat with somebody. Obviously, this is Egwene, and I'm deeply peeved this is the first chapter. Like DomA said in an other thread, this messes up timelines heavily. And also takes away from the final moments of tGS. Egwene saying that someday they will find out the significance of the break in the clouds sounded like Foreshadowing for a later meeting with Rand. Apparently, she's going to meet him in a few hours. Not cool at all.
I don't entirely understand why Rand WOULD do this? I mean how does he even know that Elaida is still not in control of the WT. Or that even if Egwene is in control, she would not do something foolish like capture him. And Rand does not know that the black ajah has been defeated so walking to Tar Valon all alone seems incredibly foolish to me. So much for new improved cunning and wise Rand that I hoped for.

I mean its not like he can walk down the mountain from where he is without some extreme climbing equipment. He would have to travel anyway, so why the heck go to TV rather than return to his friends who must all be worried sick right now.
Bah.

Everyone seems to think Rand will talk to Egwene, but a male channeler also makes sense

After his COT review, a less then gushing review isn't great

But he is specifically trying to avoid being overly fanboyish BECAUSE of that CoT review. *NM*
