I've never thought about it before, but the oath rod was designed to stop criminals, and it would make sense in a way that they would also want to stop the criminals from procreating. Building something into the oath rod seems like a good and subtle way to do it.

OTOH, Myrelle and other green AS apparently get into all sorts of sexy shenanigans with their warders, so maybe they have the same appetites as everyone else but just have some sort of secret WOT birth control.
