Taking into account travelling times, it would still be weeks, or even months before his message reached more distant locations. By this point, the news would be old.
Unless he's going to have these gleemen Travel all over randland, the infrastructure is simply not in place for him to disperse news effectively. There are no highways, horses can only go so fast for so long, and people have to eat and sleep.
So yah, I suppose he could spend a bunch of time and energy to have him and what channelers he trusted to set up travel portals for EVERY GLEEMAN AND BARD IN THE WORLD...but is it worth it?
