As sort of schmucky as it is, RJ did it all the time! Like why he deliberately didn't reveal who killed Asmodean. Because he got too much perverse pleasure over watching us squirm!!
It's one thing to say RAFO and quite another to deliberately mislead us just so he can surprise us later. I can live with "I'm simply not going to tell you yet" but the other feels like I'm being lied to for fun.
