1. About how much of AMoL did RJ leave in completed form?
Brandon has always refused to go into detail on exactly what RJ actually wrote, and what he wrote, other than that the last chapter and some other bits and pieces scattered throughout the entire last three books were written by RJ.
2. How detailed are the notes that RJ left behind for the sequel trilogy he had in mind?
It has been mentioned that although there is some general plot details for some things RJ planned to happen in the outriggers, there is not even really a true outline, much less the kind of extremely detailed outline RJ left for the end of the series.
3. Given that we know at least two major characters survive TG based on RJ's description of the sequel trilogy, how could the Shadow emerge victorious in AMoL?
Does anyone really expect the Shadow to win TG at this point? In my mind, the last real risk of that passed at the end of tGS when Rand stopped going evil.
4. Is the way Fain manipulates his Mashadar-esque power comprable to the way channelers use the OP?
RJ went over some of that at some point. He said that it was not really the same way that the one power is weaved, no. I don't remember his exact words, but it was basically to the effect that fain's powers work more on instinct. He wants something to happen, and is able to instinctively make it happen. More like how Perrin can talk to wolves or enter the T'A'R'. Its an instinct, not something you really learn, though you can hone your instincts.
