He was kicking the crap out of perrin after perrin threw the dream spike in the lava and then perrin pulled himself out of the wolf dream to get away as hopper died the final death due to slayer's earlier arrows.
Yup. And there was a scene after that with Slayer reporting to Graendal (at least I assumed it was Slayer).
Also, unless I totally missed something, Alviarin was NOT killed in this book. THe last I recall of her was when her leaving Mesaana and Egwene after Mesaana "captured" Egwene with the dream a'dam. Egwene killed Katerine, but I'm pretty sure Alviarin got away.
You are right on Slayer, I re-read the scene and he did not die. I am not so sure on Alviarin though.
