Yeah because once Rand said he would listen later it would be physically impossible for Egwene to continue to speak. I mean lets be real here, there is no way that she could have just gone ahead and said it anyway. It's not like it was important enough for Egwene to be rude. Plus Egwene always does what men tell her right? She is so submissive and introverted throughout the series that the thought of her telling Rand he was being a fool and to listen to her anyways is utterly outlandish.
