When Rand identified them, why couldn't they let go of their allegiance to the DO, and do their duty by asking Rand to transport them to Ituralde's army in the Borderlands to fight against the DO?

Is it because they cannot do so, or did not want to do so?

Maybe by the One Power or True Power or something of the sort. Maybe that doesn't explain Verin or Ingtar except Verin was still bound in some ways by her oaths and Ingtar fought and died but hoped for redemption. did he ever actually swear off the Dark One and his oaths? I don;t remember.

I wish Nyn would create some weave which would remove this binding to the DO, when someone wants to come back to the Light

I think u must be a channeler to be bound physically a la Verin. I don't think normal DF's can be bound this way

I think they swear oaths. I would assume they are bound in some way to them. - 06/11/2010 04:16:09 AM 516 Views
