I didn't see it, but I think this could be a good catch

Am I the only one that immediately connected the dark prophecy at the end of the book with the state of the unnatural Ashaman and Aiel?
They're described as animated husks, not twisted versions of their former self (which is what 13x13 is supposed to do), the similarity to the description in the prophecy is striking.

And then, shall the Lord of the Evening come. And He shall take our eyes, for our souls shall bow before Him, and He shall take our skin, for our flesh shall serve Him, and He shall take our lips, for only Him will we praise.
I'm not sure, though - with the shift in writers, what could legitimately be the Dark One using a new ability to incarnate Itself into human bodies might also be Mr. Sandersons' attempt to show how someone turned by the 13 trick might look.
"Those who think they have no time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness."

The Aiel at the end are Aiel because they have veils (which they didn't replace before killing).

Liah didn't veil in Aridhol when she killed some Trollocs.

True, at that point she was essentially a feral animal.

There's actually a pretty good chance they aren't channelers, I think.

Whoever she had been, she was surely no Aiel, not with that pale skin and /those dark eyes./

Perhaps the black eyes are due to something akin to the saa? *NM*

Makes sense if they're Dreadlords, though, in a way, that would be disappointing.

There's no evidence to that effect; on what do you base that statement?

If these guys were trying to make it look like a failed AIel killing, they suck at it.
