to be AS hasn't been about the people or nobles, but acts like Elayne is about ... the two positions (Queen and AS) have too many conflicting loyalties for any woman to effectively keep everyone happy! As Queen Elayne was smart to make a pact with the Kin, but as an AS she should never have even considered it. If she was not a Queen and discovered that Alliandre or Tenobia had made a pact with a group of Channelers she would have flipped out!
