Disagree... Nargs Send a noteboard - 25/01/2011 12:36:25 AM
The essence of his post is the comparison between RJ's work and BS's work and how primitive BS's work is in comparison.

The sweated "argument" that was used to prove this point shows 2 things. 1 - clearly demonstrates that New Yorker Sedai is not as familiar with the work as he claims to be since the "non-word" clearly appears many times before BS picked the series up. 2 - The "non-word" clearly is a word and drives one to question the veracity of the other observations pointed out in the post.

Suddenly, the rest of the claims in the post are scattering cockroaches in the light that was just turned on.

LoL - that discredits greatly the main post *NM* - 24/01/2011 04:27:45 PM 421 Views
No, it doesn't. It "discredits greatly" one of his points, not the main argument. *NM* *NM* - 24/01/2011 06:57:38 PM 414 Views

Is that really the case? A lot was cut from ToM? *NM* - 24/01/2011 11:16:05 PM 353 Views
Sweated is a word. *NM* - 24/01/2011 02:45:57 AM 414 Views
Is it? Would you ever write "I had sweated" or "having sweated for an hour?" *NM* - 24/01/2011 11:17:04 PM 394 Views
No, because it is not a participle. - 24/01/2011 11:36:12 PM 917 Views
Sure it is - 25/01/2011 11:31:29 AM 925 Views
No. I have written: I sweated a lot when I was in India. *NM* - 25/01/2011 12:16:39 AM 411 Views
Um, yes,. sweated is the past tense of to sweat. *NM* - 07/02/2011 03:37:58 AM 437 Views

Meh. I see no problem with this example. - 26/01/2011 07:10:53 AM 859 Views
If you hate his writing so much then don't read the final book. *NM* - 07/02/2011 03:39:43 AM 505 Views
I was kind of thinking this myself - 13/02/2011 10:50:07 AM 833 Views
