Total shock, I tell you.
I find your outrage amusing. Jordan was not Nabokov or even Gene Wolfe, and an awful lot of people though his last books were terrible or mediocre at best, and even most the biggest fans of the series admitted they had a lot of flaws.
So what's so strange that many readers prefer the work of the new author to Jordan's last efforts? You disagree for whatever reason, fine, but I don't get why you should be so shocked.

I guess that bad taste always shocks me a little. Your other "point" was addressed in an earlier post, and while Jordan may not have been Nabokov, Sanderson is not even on par with writers like David Eddings and Terry Brooks (that is not meant to be a compliment).
Tor, Harriet and Sanderson have shoehorned TWoT, which used to be more reminiscent of the chronicle style of Dumas and others, into a generic mock-heroic fantasy, possibly in the mistaken belief that that is all Jordan's readers wanted.
Why did the rainbow visions get so boring?

It's incredible that some readers actually seem to prefer Sanderson's attempts at being an author

He's obviously responsible, but it's not a very serious offense.

I don't think Sanderson is a good writer. I just don't think Jordan was a good writer, either.
