I think that's why RJ was so amused by the "great mystery" for so long... he never meant it to be a mystery and never intended it to be a real part of the story line ... he just needed to kill off Asmodean. The whole thing started because he was to obtuse in the clues he dropped early on and then got a kick out the reaction he saw from the fans.

We've been debating for YEARS about who killed Asmo ... and as those of us on the Graendal side of the debate kept going back too ... she was the most OBVIOUS choice!
