The Seanchan don't seem to have any problem with a'dam. But even Elayne says they're quite simple ter'angreal. Interestingly, these female-created ter'angreal cannot be used at all by men. Doubt RJ was thinking that far ahead when he introduced them back in tGH, tho.


Do we know how they create them?
I always assumed they had some kind of factory still working for some reason, rather then damane creating them in "the old way" (whatever it was).
Maybe it was explained but I missed it.


Renna tells Egwene that the first a'dam was created by an Aes Sedai who wanted to ingratiate herself with Luthair Paendrag, and also that if Egwene turned out to be able to make a'dam, she would live a pampered life. So some damane can make a'dam, but it's a rare talent.
