Egwene also gets some stuff wrong, like her having the Ageless look despite not having taken the Oaths. Nynaeve is also able to redirect a weave of saidin, something that we know is impossible. So I don't know if we can say with full confidence that the Queen is equal to the King in Malkier.

Though, the fact that the King's wife is the Queen, instead of being a consort, seems to imply it.


Aren't the archways closely related to Tel'aran'rhiod? If Egwene believed she would have the ageless look, she would have appeared to have it. Likewise, if Nynaeve believed she could redirect saidin, she would have been able to as easily as Perrin can deflect balefire there. At that point she didn't know enough about the Power to know that she couldn't do it, so she did.
