Notice that we're told that when the BA attacked, several women were channeling with incredible power. This could just be a reference to Nynaeve and Mesaana, or it could mean that Mesaana had created Dream angreal and given it to the BA. This could explain how they were channeling so powerfully, despite using the weaker versions of the ter'angreal.


Those would have to be very powerful given that 3 strong AS linked were not even as strong as a single woman when using the ter'angreal. Perhaps Mesaana knew an alternative activation weave that circumbents the misty/weak problem. But let's be honest... This is just a bit fat error.
