Second, I was left a bit incredulous at Faile's ability to slip away from Perrin so easily again. I mean, isn't one of her forays away from him how the three book Odyssey, aka The Hunt for Faile, began in the first place. Given Perrin's personality, I find it rather hard to believe that Faile could have easily slipped away from him AGAIN to go off and take out Masema.


My first thought was that too. I'm especially curious how Faile managed to find him so quickly without Bain and Chiad. I'd bet an enterprising Cha Faile member was keeping tabs on him and when Faile found out she immediately put the information to use. Or the Wise Ones found out and prompted her to go. Or it was Bawler.

I have larger problem with that then with Perrin letting her out of his sight. She's never had too much difficulty making Perrin do what she wants and he would have a lot of immediate logistical concerns. Return of the Two Rivers men home, letting Allaindre (spelling, I know) go rule her nation. Not to mention enforcing the uneasy peace as his forces and all the refugees withdraw from the Seanchan.
