What I felt was missing from the tv series was all of the little nuances in the different relationships and the build up of the characters. It was these relationships and well described and growing characters that really made me enjoy the first books as much as I did and still do (did a re-read of the first book when the show started).
I really felt like some of the book felt rushed. GRRM had/has to deal with not having the two year jump he had planned so instead of some of the characters growing slowly (Arya, Jon, even Reek) up to their major transitions and eventual climax in the books they were pushed right to the climax or cliffhanger. It left me wanting but I was very satisfied with this book.
The major difference between GRRM and Sanderson is I always want more from GRRM while Sanderson does not rouse and interest or desire to search out more by him. My current main reason for reading WoT is merely to finish the story I invested so much time reading, not because I enjoy the character developments or am fascinated by the storylines (hurray for overuse of prophecies)and I certainly have never enjoyed the quality of writing, particularly not over the last two books.

Unfortunately, Sanderson follows Jordan's path: the last two books have many, many filler chapters. (Around 60% , I think.)

I know the book will be a bestseller but the last WoT book is very important to me/us. We don't need more fluff, rehashing, summarizes, rehashing, summarizes, fluff. If you could write the in book in 400 pages (cca. 150 000 words), then write it in 400 pages.
