We can only theorize Sidious Send a noteboard - 24/02/2012 08:14:49 AM
Do we have any evidence of that at all? Rand/LTT doesn't count. He's clearly an exception (that's the whole premise of being The Dragon Reborn.)

RJ said that there is a physical and spiritual component to channeling. Osan'gar and Aran'gar kept their original strength in new bodies. Cyndane did not.

SH said that they should not complain because their bodies were suitable. This could mean suitable for channeling souls or for their high strength. Cyndane could be weaker because her soul was permanently drained or because her new body can't hold Lanfear's strength.

My personal theory is that her soul was drained. A body can hold a channeler or it can't. I can't believe they couldn't find a body to hold Lanfear's soul but they could find one for Ishamael.
