I've said all along Taringail had the upper hand on Morgase ... Yet thier children were both Trakand. Sure a Cairhienin would think they should have been Damodred's ... Means little really. Think about it, Morgase, a weak Queen to start manages to keep her family name witn both of her children (Gawyne being born pre-Laman's death), yet the far more stable Tigrain had to allow her child to bear another name ... Makes no sense.

We don't have quotes to go on here, but it is a glaring point that the child of two Royal Lines would neither bear the royal name of one parent nor inherit the Royal lineage of the other parent whose name he bears. It's a stupid discussion as we are Bly gong in circles anyway.
