Like a knitted sweater that gets tugged on, or someone poking their finger into a hole in it to make it larger. The looser the weaving, the more weird crap becomes, and the bigger the hole. The Dark One is breaking free, but what happens is still unknown.


The whole book is full of examples of reality wavering, but this seemed to signal something big the DO had done, rather than just touching the Pattern.
