But from a third person perspective... Shannow Send a noteboard - 12/11/2009 07:47:49 AM
My favorite part of the guide has always been it's chapters on the Forsaken. It paints a picture of a paradise world, filled with brilliant minds, and the Forsaken are the most brilliant and most successful people in that world. True paragons representing the height of the Age of Legends, with only Lews Therin himself rising higher. And yet they were people, with the accompanying flaws, histories, and motivations. If only those qualities could show up in the series itself.

It is much more powerful when a balanced picture is presented to you in a live scene. The Guide is more like a history book, giving a brief overview of each Forsaken.

This scene with Moridin was very different to that.

Ah, but Moridin doesn't care if he wins or looses the Last Battle - 12/11/2009 07:32:12 AM 660 Views

Agreed. This is why I've always loved Lanfear and Asmodean, too - we actually saw humanity in them - 12/11/2009 07:39:54 AM 632 Views

Actually, the Guide has more dimension in it's portrayal of most of them than the actual books. - 12/11/2009 07:45:56 AM 598 Views
